Vikrant Rai was born in 1986 in
Azamgarh,
Uttar Pradesh, India. He hails from a family with military background. His father and younger brother serve the Indian Navy. He was seen essaying the role of Kshitij in the popular Zee show `
Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann` and also portrayed the role of Jeet in another superhit Zee soap `Maayka-Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka`. In the former show his role is that of soft, decent and kind-hearted youth who falls in love with one of the female leads Saraswati. In the other show `Maayka` he plays a straightforward and dashing youngster who is a singer in a club and is harbouring dreams of making it big in the music industry.
Apart from television Vikrant has also starred in an album of Agam Kumar Nigam. He has acted in a movie Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyu directed by Sanjay Sharma. The film was premiered at the Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival in April 2010. With many projects in hand the actor is sure to make a mark in Bollywood and Television in the coming future.
